jpx400 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“So many operators have made big money in nine months and lost it in nine weeks.”
(Nicolas Darvas)

KOLの視点KOL Take

Nothing about earning it slowly makes it hard to lose quickly. The run that made the money is also what quietly rearranged the way I was trading.

Core Principle

The rate difference is the whole lesson, and it is not bad luck. Gains accumulate at whatever pace the market is willing to pay them out, which is never quick. Losses come out at whatever pace your exposure permits, and by the end of a long run that exposure is far larger than it was at the start. The run itself does the enlarging. Size drifts up because the last several worked; stops widen because respecting them recently cost money; more names get carried because everything has been working. Each adjustment looks like a sensible response to evidence, and all of them were funded by the same stretch of good conditions, which means they peak together, just before those conditions change.

Trading Application

Compare how you are trading now with how you traded before the run began: position size, stop distance, number of open names. Drift in one is ordinary. Drift in all three at once means your give-back rate has quietly multiplied while the equity curve was still rising. The takeaway: gains arrive at the market’s pace and leave at yours, and only the second of those is under your control.
