jpx400 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“It’s like a rocket blasting off; you need lots of fuel to get it off the launchpad, but once it’s in orbit, it doesn’t need nearly as much volume to keep it going higher.”
(David Ryan)

KOLの視点KOL Take

I want to see a lot of volume to start a move, and I stop demanding it once the move is already carrying itself. The same reading means different things at different stages.

Core Principle

The mistake this image corrects is applying one volume standard to every phase of a move. Getting out of a base takes real force: supply has to be absorbed, and the stock has to clear everyone who has been waiting to get out even. That is expensive, and it shows up as a surge. Once the move is established, most of that overhead supply is gone, and far less activity is needed to keep prices lifting. Traders who go on demanding launch-level volume from a trend already underway read the thinner participation as weakness and step away from something behaving exactly as it should. Volume is best interpreted against the stage of the move rather than against a fixed bar.

Trading Application

Ask where a stock sits in its move before interpreting its volume. Heavy activity earns the most respect at the point of escape; quieter drift can be entirely normal once a trend is running. What still deserves attention at any stage is heavy volume arriving on the downside. The takeaway: match the volume you expect to the stage you are actually in.
