sp500 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“A stock that shows a loss never gives you an hour’s peace.”
(Richard Wyckoff)

KOLの視点KOL Take

The loss on the screen is the part I can measure. The part that costs me more is the attention it takes, hour after hour, from the decision I should be making next.

Core Principle

The account shows one number for a losing position: the unrealized loss. It does not show the rest of the bill. A trade underwater occupies attention continuously — it gets checked more often, defended more often, and it quietly rearranges every other decision around itself. New candidates get judged against it rather than on their own merits. Sizing distorts, either shrinking out of caution or swelling to make the money back. Wyckoff’s line is about what carrying a loss does to the trader, not to the balance. This is also why holding on is rarely the cheap option people assume it to be. It looks free because nothing has been realized. What it actually spends is your capacity to think clearly, drawn down slowly, on a position that has already told you what it thinks.

Trading Application

When a holding starts taking up more of your day than its size deserves, treat that imbalance as the finding rather than as a mood. The takeaway: closing a bad position buys back attention, and attention is what pays for the next trade.
