jpx400 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“Price strength often begets further price strength, thus stocks and even markets themselves often go far higher than most analysts expect.”
(Gil Morales)

KOLの視点KOL Take

Deciding that something has gone up too much is not a thesis — it is a statement about my own

reference point rather than about the stock. Strength recruits more strength, and on the short side

that misreading has no natural limit on what it can cost.

Core Principle

A rising price is evidence that demand is outrunning supply, and the move itself recruits

participants who were waiting for proof. So the very observation used to justify a short — it has

already run a long way — is evidence of the condition that keeps it running. Morales adds the harder

half: careful, informed estimates get exceeded routinely, so a fair-value number is not a ceiling

either. And “too high” always conceals a private anchor, usually the price where you first noticed

the stock. That anchor is a fact about you, not about the company.

Trading Application

This matters most on the short side, where being wrong is not bounded the way it is on a long: the

position enlarges as the stock rises, and nothing caps how far that can run. Price level alone is

not a case. Ask what evidence says supply has actually taken control, and if the only thing you can

point to is distance travelled, treat that as a reason to stay out. The takeaway: extension

describes the past, and the past has never been under any obligation to stop.
