jpx400 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“I wait until conditions prove that I am right or until my intuition tells me I am wrong. Very often I am wrong.”
(Jesse Livermore)

KOLの視点KOL Take

I do not wait until I feel certain, because certainty is free and available any moment. I wait for conditions to confirm me, since I am wrong often enough that my confidence is not worth much on its own.

Core Principle

Two things carry the weight in that sentence. The first is that what he waits for is external. Conditions have to do the proving, not a stronger feeling and not more research. Conviction is available at any moment and costs nothing, which is precisely why it confirms nothing. The second is the admission at the end, and it is not modesty tacked on. Being wrong very often is the reason the method has this shape at all. A trader who expects to be right builds a process for acting on belief. A trader who expects to be wrong builds one that makes error cheap and correctness visible. The waiting is what turns an opinion into something the market has had a chance to contradict.

Trading Application

Before entering, write down what would count as conditions proving you right, in terms you could check on a chart rather than in terms of how convinced you feel. If you cannot state it, you are waiting for a mood. The takeaway: expecting to be wrong often is what makes the waiting bearable. You are not delaying a certainty, you are budgeting for an error rate you already know you have.
