jpx400 Heatmap — RS Rating × Minervini Trend Score

“Remember, your goal is to make a decent profit, not to get in at the low or get out at the high.”
(Mark Minervini)

KOLの視点KOL Take

I stopped grading my exits against the high the stock printed later. A good trade is one that paid me properly, not one that paid me everything.

Core Principle

Aiming for the perfect exit quietly changes what you are trying to do. Once the high is the target, every sale beneath it registers as a failure, so a working position gets held for a price that only becomes visible after it is gone. The real, bookable gain sitting in the account starts to feel incomplete. The scoring is what breaks first: you are measuring today’s decision against a number nobody could have known in advance, which guarantees a losing comparison and quietly rewards the behavior that produced it. Minervini is not lowering the bar here. He is putting the bar somewhere a person can actually reach it.

Trading Application

Decide what a decent result looks like for a setup before the position is working, whether that is a multiple of the risk you took or a zone where you scale, and judge the exit against that. The takeaway: if you are grading your sales against the highest price the stock ever reached, you have swapped a reachable goal for one that exists only in hindsight.
