Livermore is admitting something most of us learn slowly and expensively: the money was never in the
cleverness of the entry. It was in the patience to stay seated through the chop while a good position
did its job. The instinct to tinker — to grab the quick profit, to react to every wiggle — is what
quietly caps your winners. Conviction without patience just produces a lot of small, busy trades.
トレーディングへの応用Trading Application
ポジションが機能しており、仮説が崩れていないなら、何がそれを本当に壊すのかをあらかじめ定義しておく——損切りの執行、真の構造変化。それ以外はすべて無視する。肝心なのは、神経ではなく、撤退の理由が「坐るか立つか」を決めるということだ。
Once a position is working and your thesis is intact, define in advance what would actually break it
— a violated stop, a real structural change — and ignore everything that isn’t that. The takeaway:
